The Huawei Mate 50 series was launched at the end of last year and received interesting features such as satellite connectivity and powerful cameras. But as with Huawei’s other phones, the range was limited to 4G connectivity, making them definitely less desirable. However, that may change with the upcoming Mate 60 series. The flagship line is said to launch in October and will bring 5G connectivity.
According to a recent Weibo post by Chinese informant Classmateguan, the highly anticipated Huawei Mate 60 series is expected to launch this October. This program coincides with the broadcast program of the previous year. Interestingly, the whistleblower suggests that future phones will have 5G connectivity, as evidenced by the cryptic “GGGGGG” message.
For those who don’t know, Huawei has been banned from using 5G technology due to trade restrictions with US companies like Qualcomm. The move is believed to have had a negative impact on the Chinese company’s smartphone business. Just a few years ago, the company Huawei claimed global leadership in the sales of smartphones and wireless networking equipment, but now it is barely viable in the market.
In any case, Huawei does not lag behind the pace of technology development and continues to offer decent smartphones to consumers. Its latest version, the P60 series, features an impressive design and camera setup that has been positively received by consumers. However, it’s worth noting that the lineup currently uses 4G chipsets as the company has access to it.
While details about the Mate 60 series are scarce, some images are circulating online showing a possible Mate 60 series phone with a circular rear camera similar to that of the Honor X40. However, we do not believe that these explanations are correct.
