Xiaomi’s MIUI 14 rollout was rather slow as the company lagged behind most major OEMs, including the Chinese (like Oppo). Recently, the company has released the latest version of MIUI for Redmi Note 12 Pro phones. And now it’s the Redmi Note 10S’s turn to get the MIUI 14 update with Android 13. The update is rolling out in India and here is everything you need to know.

MIUI 14 brings new features and updates

According to the official MIUI guide, the MIUI 14 update for the Redmi Note 10S is currently rolling out to users in India. The company says the software will be made available to all units in the country. However, deployment can take several days. As mentioned, the update is based on Android 13. We are talking about this because Redmi is also releasing MIUI 14 builds based on Android 12.

The company says that the MIUI 14 update for Redmi Note 10S has firmware version V14.0.2.0.TKLINXM. The software comes in 3.2GB, so connecting to a Wi-Fi network is recommended unless your carrier requires a lot of data. The update also includes the March 2023 Android security patch and a few new features. First, search in settings is now more advanced, search history and categories are in the results.

MIUI 14 was officially announced in India on February 27 and although it brings many new features and updates, it is not as good as the Chinese made. Also, earlier this month, Gizmochina discovered that devices running the Indian and global versions of MIUI should work with two browsers (Chrome and Opera) that can no longer be installed.
