A Redmi Note 12 Pro user from India named Naveen Dahiya reported that his new smartphone caught fire while in his breast pocket.
I bought a Redmi Note 12 Pro smartphone on February 13, 2023. On the evening of April 11, 2023, I was working in my own field. The phone was in the top pocket of his shirt. I felt a burning sensation in my pocket and saw my phone was on fire.

He immediately took his phone out of his pocket and threw it on the ground. Luckily, Naveen Dahiya was not injured, but the phone was completely shattered. Called Redmi support the next day.
Naveen Dahiya added that she plans to sue the company as she has not received any response from Redmi. It was previously reported that the Redmi Note 5 Pro, which exploded in India, killed an 8-year-old girl.
