HTC is reportedly working on a new upper mid-range phone. The Bluetooth SIG confirmed the device in question last week. Three model numbers were found on the list: 2QC9200, 2QC9100 and 2QCB100. These model numbers are said to belong to three different country variants of the same smartphone. It looks like it could be the HTC U23 Pro smartphone spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking platform.

As you can see in the screenshot below, the upcoming HTC U23 Pro has surfaced on Geekbench 6. The Taiwanese manufacturer has launched several inexpensive smartphones under the Wildfire brand in recent months. It also releases Desire series phones every year. However, the U23 Pro is the successor to the HTC U20 5G, which was announced in June 2020.

The Geekbench listing reveals that the HTC U23 Pro is powered by a Qualcomm chip that includes four CPU cores running at 1.80 GHz, three CPU cores running at 2.36 GHz, and one CPU core running at 2.40 GHz. The source code for the listing shows that the SoC includes an Adreno 644 GPU. These CPU and GPU details are enough to confirm that the HTC U23 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset.

The Geekbench listing also shows that the HTC U23 Pro has 12GB of RAM and runs Android 13. In Geekbench 6 single-core and multi-core tests, the device scored 933 and 2351, respectively.

There is currently no information about other HTC U23 Pro features. The device is likely to have an AMOLED display with a frequency of 120 Hz, a memory of up to 256 GB, top-notch cameras and a large battery with fast charging support. The U23 Pro is likely to launch in Taiwan in June.
