Honor has confirmed its presence in the foldable smartphone category by launching two smartphones today. The latest addition to the brand’s product range, Magic Vs., which introduces many important features such as gearless hinge, robust design and powerful processor. Also, Honor is actively developing the successor of this device known as Magic V2. Recently, a well-known whistleblower shared interesting details about the screen of the future foldable smartphone.

It can also get a powerful processor and a 5000 mAh battery.

According to Digital Chat Station, the upcoming Honor Magic V2 will use a new custom-made 2K LTPO panel with high frequency dimming. This is a significant upgrade over the Magic Vs, which uses an OLED panel. In addition, the new phone is expected to take its power from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform.

It could have a high-density 2840mAh + 2060mAh dual-cell battery, which is nice to see in a compact device. In addition, the device can support 66W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.

Other details about the complex device, including the launch date, are still hidden. However, considering that the upcoming phone will have an improved display and processor, it looks like it will be a significant upgrade over its predecessor. For comparison, the original Honor Magic V is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip.

It has a 7.9-inch foldable OLED display on the inside and a 6.45-inch 2560×1080 OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate on the outside. Also, Honor Magic V is powered by a built-in 4750mAh battery and supports 66W wired charging. It is not yet clear whether the new device will also bring some improvements in the camera and design department. Stay tuned for updates.
