Xiaomi 13 Ultra gets more camera optimizations thanks to a software update

Xiaomi has recently introduced new color variants of its flagship smartphone Xiaomi 13 Ultra in China. With features like Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, 6.73-inch QHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display and a quad-core primary camera with 1-inch Sony sensor, it’s the most powerful smartphone the brand has ever released.

The brand is now releasing a new software update for the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. Latest update released under build number MIUI 14.0.11.0 TXACNXM. The update weighs around 134 MB. It is available to users on the stable channel and if you haven’t received the update yet, you can check it in Settings >> About phone >> Software update.

The changelog mentions that some camera-related features and optimizations have been added to the device. This update includes some improvements and fixes to the camera app, especially for street shooting mode. Users can now enjoy a better UI style with focus distance, higher photo quality in some scenes, and easier access to street mode system settings in camera settings.

The update also makes it easy to toggle the camera watermark switch on and off by turning it into a drop-down menu. Here is the full update changelog (translated from Chinese).

The smartphone has the brightest display of today with a 6.73-inch QHD+ AMOLED display with a frequency of 120 Hz, a resolution of 1440p and a maximum peak brightness of 2600 nits. The internal processor of the device is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip.

On the back of the smartphone is the Leica Vario-Summicron lens. The main camera sensor is a 50-megapixel Sony IMX989 with a diagonal of 1 inch and an adjustable aperture from f/1.9 to f/4.0. Along with two 50MP Sony IMX858 telephoto lenses, there is also a 50MP f/1.8 Sony IMX858 ultra-wide sensor with a 122-degree field of view. It also has a 32-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.

Coming with the latest Android 13 OS and customized MIUI 14 UI, the phone is powered by a 5000mAh battery that supports 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
