Huawei is ready to launch its latest foldable smartphone model, the Mate X3, in Europe. The foldable phone was first introduced in China in March 2023 and is finally coming to the global market.

Huawei Mate X3 finally appeared on the European market

Immediately after the first announcement, the Chinese technology giant also confirmed that the Mate X3 foldable phone will be available in the European market on May 9, 2023. Now the device has finally been introduced in the region. The Mate X3 is the latest generation of the brand’s folding phone lineup, competing with Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 4 in the market. The device has a 7.85-inch long main OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate along with a 6.4-inch cover display.

Under the hood, the device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The Huawei Mate X3 is powered by a large 4800mAh battery that supports 66W wired fast charging, 50W fast wireless charging and 7.5W reverse charging. There is a 50-megapixel triple camera on the back and an 8-megapixel selfie camera on the front.

Other notable features include satellite connectivity, IPX8 water resistance, 239 grams weight, 11.08mm when folded and only 5.3mm thick when unfolded, OIS support in periscopic zoom lens, NFC, dual stereo speakers and Bluetooth 5.2. The device was launched in China with a starting price of 12,999 yuan, or about US$1,900, or €1,700. But it’s now on sale for a starting price of €1,199 (£1,199) for the 8GB + 256GB model and €1,399 (£1,299) for the 12GB + 512GB model.
