Vivo is working on a new mid-range 4G smartphone called Vivo Y36 4G. This device has already appeared on Geekbench and Bluetooth SIG, confirming some key specs. It is now also on the NBTC and Google Play certification list, hinting that it will be released soon.
According to the listing on the NBTC certification website, the Y36 4G smartphone is assigned model number V2247. The list also confirms the official name of the device, which is also confirmed by Google Play’s certification list. This is the same pattern spotted on Geekbench and Bluetooth SIG before.
Rumors surrounding the Vivo Y36 4G suggest that the phone will have a large 6.8-inch LCD display, but there is no confirmation yet as to whether it will have a high refresh rate. As hardware, the device is expected to run on the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset and have 8 GB of RAM. An interesting feature of the phone is the additional 8 GB of RAM, which, according to rumors, has the possibility of expansion.
According to the Geekbench listing, the Vivo Y36 4G smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC, which is an older and relatively inferior chipset compared to the new Helio G99. The smartphone managed to score 410 and 1343 points in the single-core and multi-core tests, respectively, which is satisfactory performance for a lower mid-range device.
In terms of camera specs, the upcoming Vivo Y36 4G is expected to have a 50MP primary rear camera, though details about other camera sensors have yet to be revealed. The device is expected to be powered by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 44W fast charging, keeping users connected throughout the day.
