Earlier this January, Apple announced Black Unity wallpapers and the Black Unity Sport Loop for Watch line to celebrate Black History Month. Now, the Cupertino-based tech giant has launched the Pride Edition fitness bracelet this year with the introduction of a compatible iOS watch face and wallpaper. The company wants to celebrate the movement to protect and promote equality for LGBTQ+ communities around the world.
The design of the new Pride Edition fitness bracelet features the original rainbow colors of the Pride flag and five other colors. Apple says black and brown represent black and Latino communities, as well as those who have died or are living with HIV/AIDS. Light blue, pink and white represent transgender and non-binary individuals.
In addition to the Pride Edition sports band, Apple has also released a Pride Celebration watch face and iOS wallpaper honoring the LGBTQ+ community. Apple says watch faces and iPhone wallpapers move dynamically as users interact with their devices. They’ll be available next week and will require watchOS 9.5 and iOS 16.5 on Apple Watch and iPhone respectively.
The Apple Watch Pride Edition Sport band is available in 41mm and 45mm. Compatible with Apple Watch Series 3 and newer. It costs Rs 4,500 and can be purchased from the brand’s official website and retail stores from May 23 and 24 respectively.
