Nokia has launched a brand new smartphone in the Indian market. The device is called C22, which is a budget phone that comes with an affordable price and Android Go Edition platform. The launch comes just days after the company announced the Nokia XR21 rugged phone.

Nokia C22 is the brand’s latest budget phone with HD+ display

The new device has just been launched in India and is targeting the budget segment. It features a 6.5-inch HD+ drop-shaped long LCD panel with a 20:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D tempered glass for added protection. The rear, on the other hand, is made of polycarbonate materials along with a metal frame on the sides. Under the hood, the device is powered by a UNISOC 9863A1 SoC paired with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

It is noteworthy that the Nokia C22 also supports the expansion of virtual RAM up to 2 GB. It is also powered by a large 5000mAh battery that supports standard 10W charging. The device runs Android 13 Go Edition out of the box, and the brand also promises two years of security updates. On the back, there is a dual camera setup with a 13-megapixel main sensor and a 2-megapixel macro camera, while on the front there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera.

Other key features include IP52 dust and splash protection, 3.5mm headphone jack, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, microSD card slot for memory expansion, and two SIM cards. It is available in three color options, charcoal, sand and purple. The device starts at INR 7,999 for the 2GB variant, while the 4GB model is priced at INR 8,499.
