Company iQOO announced the launch of a new series Neo 8, includes two premium smartphones: Neo 8 and Neo 8 Pro. Prior to its official launch in China on May 23, the company shared the design of the phones that showed some minor updates to the previous Neo 7 series.

On Weibo, iQOO posted a video revealing the design of the upcoming Neo 8 series. The phones will feature a curved back, while the previously revealed model will feature a red vegan leather back. On the back is a rectangular camera module with two circular cutouts that house the dual camera and LED flash for the Neo 8 5G. The text of the camera module reveals that the Neo 8 will have optical image stabilization (OIS) support.

According to iQOO, the Neo 8 Pro will be equipped with the recently released MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ system-on-chip (SoC) built on a 4 nm process and capable of reaching a maximum clock frequency of 3.35 GHz. In addition, the phone will have the Vivo V1+ chip for improved camera, performance and imaging features. With the inclusion of the ISP V1+ chip, iQOO may be planning to turn the Neo 8 Pro from just a gaming device into a versatile all-rounder. A recent AnTuTu listing of the device also suggests that it will be a monster gaming machine, as it managed to score over 1.3 million points in the test.

iQOO Neo 8 series specs leak

Tipster Yogesh Brar explained the key specs of the iQOO Neo 8 Pro in a recent tweet. The source said that the Neo 8 Pro is expected to feature a large 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution. It is likely to launch in China with up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB storage.

This phone will reportedly have a triple camera system on the back, led by a 50MP primary sensor. However, the source did not reveal the technical specifications of the other two sensors. It will also have a 16MP front camera. The phone is powered by a 5000mAh battery and supports 120W fast charging right out of the box. The Neo 8 Pro will run on Android 13 and have Origin OS 3 on top.

According to recent leaks, the Neo 8 5G is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 system-on-chip (SoC). The phone is also expected to feature a 1.5 high resolution 6.78 inch 120Hz AMOLED display. K and dimming technology 2160 Hz PWM.
