While 2023 is a year full of technological innovations in televisions, there are only a few days left until the end of the year, and this also means one thing: CES is approaching, and with it all the news on Smart TVs. Some manufacturers have dropped little hints of what’s to come, including Hisense. They already revealed one of their great heroes for the 2024 television series.

As the company assures, there is a new evolution in ULED X technology, which we already learned about this year with the Hisense UXKQ model. The company now wants to go even further in terms of diagonal dimensions and even improve brightness presentation. Like this Introduced televisions up to 110 inches and 40,000 backlight zones.

A huge television in size and at the same time maximum brightness

The television in question uses MiniLED technology. In the Hisense catalogue, we can see OLED, MiniLED televisions, FALD backlit models and more affordable LCD-LED televisions. Regarding miniLED, Hisense is one of the manufacturers most committed to this technology, as it demonstrated last year with the ULED X with quantum dot matrix.

On this occasion, Hisense is preparing us for the arrival of a television up to 110 inches in size and Up to 10,000 nits peak brightnessUp to 1,500 or 2,000 nits for premium models with miniLED technology, and with maximum brightness between 2,000 and 4,000 nits, a much higher figure than we usually see on the market.

The company has not yet mentioned what the resolution of this television will be. Let’s also remember that at this year’s CES fair, it presented a 110-inch model with ULED X technology that reaches up to 8K resolution. However, the maximum brightness of its panel reached 2,500 nits, far from what they stated for this new model.

To achieve this maximum brightness, Hisense provides: The TV will use MiniLEDs with up to 24V outputBT.2020 reaches up to 95% of the color space. After learning these features, it would be most logical to think that we are faced with a television with high energy consumption. We will have to wait to know the full technical picture.

Interest in big television has just begun. Manufacturers such as TCL, LG, Sony or Samsung have already introduced their weapons in 98 and even 110 inch sizes for that matter. Although falling development costs for increasingly larger panels have led consumers to generally opt for 65-, 77- and even 83-inch models, they are still niche products.

When it comes to the Hisense model, it looks like we will have to wait until CES 2024 to learn more details. The event will be held in Las Vegas on January 9 as usual.
