Representatives of the Chinese company made comments on the scandal related to the slowdown of smartphones. “Xiaomi implements temperature management strategies to ensure optimum interoperability with the product, especially with resource-intensive schedules,” the company said.

The company said that the brand’s smartphone operating system can optimize the operation of devices depending on many factors such as energy consumption, performance, heat load. Reporters who received comments from Xiaomi concluded that Xiaomi can artificially adjust the power of its devices.

Xiaomi also said that consumers will be able to manually control the power of smartphones. “We offer three performance modes on most of our devices that allow users to balance performance and energy efficiency,” the company said.

In March, representatives of the Geekbench service for measuring the power of smartphones revealed that Xiaomi is slowing down the performance of the devices. The software developers promised to investigate and decide on the restrictions on branded devices.
