Samsung is one of the brands that pays the most attention to Smart TV service and Tizen is the most complete, enjoyable and fluid product available on the market. We can’t forget Samsung TV Plus, which is also a FAST free channel service. An example: a TV in a house where there are elderly people who want to watch DTT and there is little else. Yes, it is not very complicated to switch from your Smart hub to a normal TV, but if the technology does not suit us and such a task costs us the earth, there is a solution: it is possible Configure Samsung Smart TV to start with DTT.
Configure Samsung Smart TV to turn on DTT
Samsung Smart TVs open by default in their Smart hubs, which give access to the streaming platforms and other applications that we have installed, the free channels of the Korean firm, the settings and DTT, among other options. The step you need to access DTT to see?
For this only necessary disable two options in settings: ‘Smart Hub Autorun’ and ‘Autorun Latest App’.
As Samsung explains on its help page, both options are ‘Configuration‘ > ‘General‘ > ‘Smart features‘ (The names may vary slightly depending on the model, but not by much.) For example, on my model Samsung QN85, ‘All configuration‘ > ‘General and privacy‘ > ‘Home screen optionSmart Hub and where the latest app appears.
From here, every time you turn on the TVIt will take you directly to your old TV, where you will need to use the menu or sources button on the remote to change the source of the content that will be played on the device.
