Television has once again regained its crown in the household. In many homes, it is the center of the home, whether connected or not, and is used for much more than just watching DTT channels or streaming content. Me too, I use it as a music system with an option I discovered recently.
Using a TV as a music system is all about taking advantage of these benefits. A function I haven’t used yet. and it impressed me. And in addition to listening to music, I ensure that the television consumes less electricity and maintain the panel. Your TV may also have this feature and you don’t know it.
An unknown and very useful function
Use the TV as a music system using apps like YouTube, Spotify or more. even with local content This is possible with tools like Kodi or VLC. Also do this with the screen off and using audio only so the panel is not affected by static images, avoiding the dreaded burn-in and using less energy.
To enable this feature, I just need to press the settings button on the controller, it is represented by a gear icon that displays the options menu. I choose a call from these “No picture”.
When selected, the screen turns off and only the sound remainswith a short change notification that disappears within seconds. To view the content again, simply press any button on the remote control.
In addition to using it with audio applications such as Spotify, Tidal, YouTube… I can use it like a radio by using DTT channels and other sources. For example, if I select Channel 24 Hours and turn off the screen, It turns into a kind of radio.
So I can turn tv into speaker, It protects the screen from possible damage caused by static images and at the same time optimizes energy consumption.
