In this sense, the way our devices automate processes is a way to free us from certain actions every day. In the past, we had to make real watermarks for this and even invest in some tools. SmartThings Routines are ideal for saving us a lot of time

As we have stated many times before, Samsung always tries to ensure that everything is as close as possible with its technology. If we have a Galaxy, we have most likely at some point started configuring its ‘Modes and routines’, its simple but very useful automatic processes. The same features can be extended to the South Korean firm’s Smart TV (or monitor). and for that we just need a free app:SmartThings.

This application, which comes standard installed on the majority of Samsung devices, allows us to integrate the company’s entire ecosystem in one place. A true Swiss army knife that can be used for anything.: from, for example, using a mobile phone as a remote control to controlling the real-time consumption of a device. And of course, it also serves to automate processes.

In the application itself, we can see a section for creating ‘Routines’ that will allow automating all kinds of processes with Samsung Smart TV. These shares were split in two It allows us to create endless combinations. For example, ‘If it is 9:00 in the morning, turn on Smart TV’.

Currently, SmartThings Routines allow you to perform a large number of actions automatically. We don’t know if the new One UI 7 will add more to the phones’ own routines, but it’s likely to bring some new features to SmartThings. These are the actions this automation process allows:

• Turn on or off
• Enable Environmental Mode
• Mute the TV
• change font
• Change picture mode
• Change sound mode
• Delay an action
• automatic shutdown

We cannot cover all possible combinations, but we will give you an example to help you understand how to create your own routines. At this point, it is worth noting that in order to carry out this entire process, we must have SmartThings on our mobile phone. and we must also be logged in to our Samsung account.both on the phone and on television.

For example, we will use one of my favorite routines: TV goes silent when I receive a phone call. This is very useful because it saves us from having to mute the remote control. Also, as soon as we turn off the phone, the sound will return to its previous state. The steps to follow are:

• We access ‘Settings’ and look for ‘Modes and routines’.
• In this menu click ‘Routines’ in the bottom right.
• On the next screen, press the ‘+’ button.
• In the ‘Yes’ section we need to search for ”incoming call‘. Here we have two options: choose ‘any’ or set up specific contacts.
• Click ‘ for the ‘After’ partCheck out SmartThings‘.
• We select our TV, click ‘Control TV’ and ‘Mute sound’
• To finish, click on ‘When routine is finished’ and do the same but select ‘Enable sound’.

This is one of dozens of options we have, because we can also make the television turn off at a certain time. Let’s even turn it on when we get home. Since everything is done the same way, we will not have any problems creating routines or routines that we think will be good for us.
