Since the beginning of the war, a number of goods have become more expensive in Ukraine. Especially consumer electronics prices have changed. The cost of smartphones, tablets and other devices has increased by at least 10%. What and how much did it cost?
We used the E-Catalog portal to track price changes. According to this source, one of the most popular devices by February 24 – Apple iPhone Xr 128 GB sold for 16992 UAH. At the beginning of the war, its price rose to 18,222 UAH. But these were still blooms, because at the end of March they had requested 20,641 UAH for a smartphone. But it is worth noting that in the first half of April the price of the gadget fell by about 1 thousand hryvnia.
For comparison, a novelty from Samsung – the price of the 5 GB Galaxy A52s model has increased by almost 3 thousand UAH since the enactment of martial law. At the end of March, the cost of the smartphone was 14,513 UAH. However, in just the last two weeks, the price has dropped to 13,166 UAH.
The leader of the niche of the mass market, Xiaomi Redmi 10, in the first month of the war “scored” just over 1.3 thousand UAH, reaching a price tag of 6790 UAH. And by mid-April, it increased by another 63 UAH to 6853 UAH.
The cost of smartwatches after a month of hostilities in Ukraine is also not happy. For example, the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active, which cost 6,220 UAH in February, reached 7,200 UAH by mid-March. However, by April 14, its price dropped to almost 1,000 hryvnia.
Meanwhile, the Apple Watch, aka the 6 Aluminum model, hasn’t changed its price that dramatically. From February to March, its value rose to 2,000 UAH. In the first days of April, the cost of the gadget is 14,830 UAH. And by the middle of the month, its price dropped to 14,350 UAH.
The price of the Xiaomi Pad 5 tablet, popular in Ukraine, in mid-February is 12,191 UAH. At the end of March, its price was fixed at 14,733 UAH. And as of today, they are asking for 14,290 UAH for the popular model.
Another highest sale of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite was UAH 12,598, up by UAH 2.2 thousand in the first month of the war. In April, its price continued to rise and now they are asking for at least 13,146 UAH for the device.
