A new and very useful artificial intelligence feature is coming to YouTube exclusively for YouTube Premium users. The new feature aims to improve the user experience and reconcile video interaction with artificial intelligence.

YouTube Premium is already very popular today for its ad-free YouTube experience and offline video downloading features, but it is powered by artificial intelligence. This new feature encourages users to become YouTube Premium subscribers..

The new feature will allow viewers to ask artificial intelligence questions about the videos they watch. The feature is powered by Google’s Gemini AI and includes an “Ask” option that appears below the video player.

How does YouTube’s new artificial intelligence feature work?

Users can choose from a list of preset questions or make the video experience more interactive by asking their own questions. For example, you can get information about certain ingredients in a cooking video.

In addition to answering user questions, artificial intelligence can summarize the entire video and suggest related content. As you may recall, YouTube has begun taking major steps toward integrating artificial intelligence into its platform, such as Google DeepMind’s Veo, which allows creators to create quick, independent video clips.

It’s unclear when the new feature will be publicly available, but testing has been ongoing in beta versions for a while and currently only Android users in the US can experience the feature.
