YouTube has started testing a new user interface that removes the Dislike button on Shorts videos and replaces it with a Save button.
This new interface change from YouTube is currently in the testing phase with a limited number of mobile users. It makes it very difficult to dislike Shorts videos, so to speak.. Users can now dislike a Shorts video by tapping the three-dot menu on the video.
The purpose of this new interface seems to be to encourage users to add videos to more playlists. The Save button on the main interface allows users to easily add videos to their lists.
The ‘Dislike’ button is now hidden

Given the fast-paced nature of Shorts videos, many users will use this button more often as they no longer need to take any additional action. On the other hand, the fact that the Dislike option has been removed from an easily accessible area may cause users to skip videos they don’t like without specifying it.
The Save button allows videos to be added to a new or existing playlist. and users can then easily access this content. Plus, the shareability of playlists makes it easier to share content with your friends.
As we mentioned above, this change is currently in the testing phase and it is currently unclear whether Google will offer this new layout to all its users.
