The Realme 9 Pro+ is Realme’s new flagship phone and is the pinnacle of this family. To better understand its positioning, I have compiled a short list showing the new product division in order of increasing performance:
Above this family is the Realme GT Master Edition and other tops of the company’s lineup, as you can see in the video below:
And below those two is the Realme C lineup, with entry-level smartphones focusing on battery life and other basic specs.
But what good does the Realme 9 Pro Plus bring in relation to other devices? The manufacturer pays special attention to a set of cameras created with the goal of “making affordable a flagship camera with technologies focused on low light conditions.”
The new mobile phone comes to replace the Realme 8 Pro and was made with innovation, design.
To ensure the good quality of your photos, the Realme Pro+ is equipped with a Sony IMX 766 sensor, which promises excellent light-capturing ability. According to Realme, the sensor has 45% more light compared to the iPhone 13 sensor.
In addition, a new noise reduction algorithm has been developed for low light conditions.
Camera kit:
The mobile phone is available in three colors, one of which has a special accent inspired by the sunrise. This other mode, dubbed Light Shift Design, has a back that reflects red and blue colors depending on the lighting in the environment.
When the sun shines on it, you can see a red reflection, and when it is in the shade, we see a bluish reflection. In short, it’s two colors on one phone depending on the lighting conditions where you are.
Only the Sunrise Blue version comes with a special flash design based on the sunrise.
To achieve this effect, the device in Sunrise Blue contains two layers of colors separated by a layer of gel that promotes the desired reflection.
The device is available in Sunrise Blue (blue), Aurora Green (green) and Midnight Black (black). It is also the thinnest from a Chinese manufacturer:
The phone has a very good 6.4-inch AMOLED screen, it doesn’t have great certifications but it delivers good saturation and still a 90Hz refresh rate.
The higher speed appears here as a positive mainly for navigation, it does give the feeling that the system is smoother.
As a processor, a bet was made on the MediaTek Dimensity 920 5G processor, made using 6-nm lithography. However, in terms of performance, this chip cannot compete with premium intermediaries, especially for its price.
While the performance is adequate for web browsing and the vast majority of games, it doesn’t fall far behind in absolute numbers, as seen in the AnTuTu performance test:
According to Realme, a cooling system with evaporative chambers to reduce temperature has been adopted to ensure performance.
The battery capacity is 4500 mAh, which in our tests was enough for a day and a half of battery life.
A really impressive highlight is the fast recharge of the mobile phone with the included charger that delivers 60W of power. In my tests, the charger managed to charge the battery to 50% in 15 minutes, as promised by the company.
Unfortunately, the recommended starting price of the Realme 9 Pro+ is 3499 reais, bought in Brazil. Salinity notwithstanding, this price tends to drop heavily the farther away from the launch date.
Gaming performance was adequate for some of the PlayStore’s best games, including Genshin Impactheavy game that requires a lot of performance.
Genshin Impact – It worked great in very high quality with bass shadows and other settings.
Asphalt 9 – Works in full quality, but not always at a high frame rate.
Mobile cash on delivery – Works as graphics high and frame rate very tall.
