Monoliths are seen all over the world

This story dates back to 2020, when a team of biologists counted animals by helicopter in a quiet corner of the Utah wilderness. Scientists suddenly noticed that a shiny metal monolith stood out among the rocky hills. Over the next few weeks, similar monoliths appeared and disappeared in various parts of the world: the second was found in Romania, then the third in California, and then in Pennsylvania and the Netherlands, on the Isle of Wight off the south coast of England. , And elsewhere.

And no one could explain what it was, who put it there and for what purpose. Of course, conspiracy theories about alien invasion quickly emerged, while others thought it was an art project reminiscent of the mysterious Banksy.

A similar monolith has now been installed in Wales. Stonemason Craig Muir came across a strange object while wandering around Hay Hill in the Brecon Beacons National Park.

This is probably some kind of art installation. If you don’t know anything, looking at it you could easily think it was shot down by a UFO or something.
– says Muir.

He says this prismatic structure is well-made, has no visible signs of welding, and may be made of surgical steel. He stated that the surface was too shiny, sharp-edged and smooth for aluminum. “I can tell it’s surgical steel because the person who made it didn’t want it to rust.”– says the stonemason.

Muir, who has a family of welders and metal workers, said he works with metal a lot and in his professional opinion, whoever built the monolith did a “really good job.”

All this did not budge even in strong winds, indicating a lot of weight. It’s unclear how deep the ground is.

The New York Times also notes that “no trace of how it got there” was found near the monolith. So there’s probably no sign of a car nearby that might have brought this absolutely heavy object here. However, Muir says he saw some footprints. It is unclear whether these belong to the person who placed the object or to someone who managed to discover the monolith earlier.

what’s next

Unfortunately, this finding did not clarify anything. Presumably such monoliths will continue to appear in the future. At least some of it is known to disappear as suddenly as it appeared, so perhaps the same fate awaits this monolith.

Muir described it as a “perfect monolith” and said it “looked just like those in Egypt”. There are “no marks” on it.
