Chinese military scientists have urged the government to develop a “weapon” capable of destroying satellite constellation gives starlink. Researchers from the Chinese military believe that satellite system this isa threat to the country’s military and defense equipment in its operations. At the UN, China has already asked to take action against the risks that satellites delivered them to the Chinese space station.

Is Starlink spying on China?
Chinese researchers concerned about military applications satellite constellationfrom Starlink. Among the fears of the Chinese armed forces is the ability satellites track hypersonic missiles, increase the data rate of drones and stealth fighters US Air Force and the risks of collision with Chinese space station – Tiangong. Last year, China filed a complaint with the UN about two emergency exercises (in July and October 2021) that Tiangong had to act in order to avoid collisions with Starlink satellites.
In an article published by Chinese scientists from the Institute of Surveillance and Telecommunications, the government is invited to invest in “soft” and “extreme” methods of destruction satellites. These “soft” methods include protection such as signal interruption and laser equipment, while the “hard” methods are understandable: weapons that physically destroy satellites, such as missiles.
China has the technology to destroy satellites
Destruction methods are nothing new in China. The country already has systems to disrupt communications between satellites and destroy electrical components of equipment, as well as lasers to blind sensors and cyberweapons to hack networks and long-range anti-satellite missiles (ASATs). But military scientists say they are not effective against satellite constellation, only for “single” purposes. They need a new combination of weapons to destroy the entire satellite system. Among the options presented is a counterattack with Chinese satellite constellation which speeds up possible signal interruption starlink. Cyber warfare is gaining new methods.
