According to the CEO Sony Semiconductor Solutions (SSS), Terushi Shimizu, at a recent event via Nikkei Japan, the future of photography will be through smartphones. The portal notes that in the presentation, the company’s executive stated that “in the coming years, still images (from smartphones) will surpass the image quality of single-lens reflex cameras (SLRs).”
