Do you think aliens will visit Earth this year? You may not have thought about it until now, but this question was asked to almost 25,000 people in November 2022. Organizations such as the United States Department of Defense or NASA occasionally publish reports on UFO sightings and cases. Methods for finding extraterrestrial life before the population has evidence that extraterrestrials have visited us are detailed.
However, as the survey shows, the population of some countries has made it clear that 2023 will be the year that extraterrestrial entities will make contact. And there are others who convey the point directly.
Mars Attack. This chart was prepared by Visual Capitalist based on the results of an Ipsos survey that asked 24,471 adults from 36 countries a variety of questions. One of these questions was about whether aliens will visit Earth in 2023, and the results are quite interesting.
Last year, the population of Asian and Latin American countries showed most clearly that aliens would visit us; India’s 43%, Saudi Arabia’s 38% or the United Arab Emirates’ 36% stand out. Countries such as Colombia -26%-, China -25%-, Peru -23%- or Mexico -21%- are also among the first countries in this interesting ranking.
Remarks. The reason why these populations make it so clear that aliens will visit us is not clear, and different theories come into play. It is clear that one of them is mythological. Throughout history, there have been cultures that valued beings that might fall within the definition of extraterrestrial, such as geniuses, gods, or “visitors” from other worlds.
It may also be due to the influence of popular culture. An example of this is India; 55% of people surveyed in 2017 believe there is intelligent life out there. One of the explanations made at the time was the enormous impact of films like the “Star Wars” saga.
Which aliens or which overalls. But there is also the other side of the coin: the countries that are least clear that aliens will visit Earth in 2023. Here you have countries like South Korea, Canada or Hungary (12% each) or the United Kingdom, Poland or Belgium. —10%.
However, the country that took the cake was surprisingly Japan with 8%. Being a country with such advanced technology and fascination with futuristic themes in its popular culture, it’s a fact that… shocking. Argentina -18%-, the United States and Germany -17%-, Spain -15%-, Italy -13%- or France -12%-… ne fu ne fa, it is in the middle part, but the believers in this visit are small There is a percentage.
What do the authorities say?. Beyond this belief, the truth is that we have repeatedly tried to communicate with extraterrestrials. We’ve also spent millions of dollars researching UFOs or UFO-related videos, but the science is focused on finding extraterrestrial life, not on communicating with extraterrestrials (it might even be at the bacterial level). Also this year, the United States Department of Defense also ruled out the possibility of sightings of extraterrestrial technology.
In a 63-page report, the All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office stated that “there is no verifiable evidence that UAPs, unidentified anomalous phenomena, are caused by extraterrestrial activity.” They continue to comment that “AARO found no evidence that the U.S. government or private sector had access to extraterrestrial technology or any indication that information was illegally or improperly withheld from Congress.”
They called him. And it won’t be because AARO doesn’t have access. According to the department’s acting director, Tim Philips, “No one stopped us from accessing the places we had access or the questions we asked. No one in the government influenced the results of the report. As a career intelligence officer, I was surprised by this. Because we have some of the most classified programs in our country, no one told us no.”
When anxiety hits… Now if, after such comments, a large part of society continues to think that aliens will visit us, we must look for more logical explanations beyond a simple explanation like “Star Wars was very effective.” The Ipsos survey itself points to a growing state of general anxiety among the public.
This mood will have secondary effects, such as concern about nuclear war (48% of respondents compared to 34% the previous year), catastrophic stellar events (22% of the population believed in the impact of a giant asteroid, the report found). On Earth, it was 16% the previous year) or visits from the aforementioned aliens (18% overall, compared to 14% the previous year).
They don’t visit us but we’re not alone. And considering this general state of anxiety, this expected visit from extraterrestrials will not be very peaceful. The good news is that, as far as we know, no one visited us last year, but it is becoming increasingly clear that they exist. Specifically, the odds of humans being the only advanced civilization are one in ten billion trillion.
