IPA, Red Ale, Stout, Witbier, Saison, Lager, Pilsen, Bock, Catharina Sour… Well, the number of beers is huge. In addition to the types, each brewery may add certain ingredients (such as hibiscus saison). But brewery, a Singapore-based brewery, has gone even further in innovation by launching a beer made from recycled wastewater. Binge NEWCooking is a partner of the country’s government and uses water purified by the national water agency, known by the acronym THE PUB. Ironic, no?
Beverage giant takes first step into the future
When you are an island country the size of Singapore, you have an obligation to develop methods of self-sufficiency in water. And Singapore has achieved this goal over the past decade. Rainwater harvesting practices, reservoirs, water desalination and proper wastewater treatment, among other measures, have been fundamental for the country to become an example of conserving a key resource for life on Earth.
Many years ago, Singapore launches NEWater, a recycled water brand that is marketed to end users and primarily industries – one of the largest water consumers on the planet. part NEWater also returns to the country’s water bodies.
One of these industries brewery, has partnered with PUB, Singapore’s water agency, to obtain a supply of this recycled water to use in its beer. After all… breweries use a lot of water (even if the final drink does not saturate us with water) and produce the most consumed alcoholic beverage in the world. OUR brewery ideal client for NEWater.
OUR NEWCooking it’s beer pale ale and it has a much more important function than just refreshing and being the drink to drink in good times. Role NEWCooking is to educate people about water conservation and the importance of proper handling of the fluid of life (I’m talking about water!). And if you were curious to drink NEWCooking (it’s made from recycled water, which is completely legal), you’ll have to wait. Not only is it only sold in Singapore, the country’s markets are running out of stock. at the factories brewery the product has already run out … How thirsty!
