The severe weather in Europe complicates the situation: the air temperature reached 47 degrees Celsius in some places. There are at least 20 wildfires on the continent that are out of control.
What happened?
The incident occurred in Bubierca, in the state of Zaragoza, the capital of the autonomous community of Aragon, when workers accidentally ignited sparks that fell on nearby factories.
The fire started when one of our contractors used a retro crawler excavator to prepare soil for tree planting this winter. Operators notified the emergency room. Firefighters have been working day and night to contain the fire, and luckily they have created a perimeter around the fire. LandLife said in a statement.
According to the company, this fire turned into a “true hell”. affecting approximately 35,000 acres of land.
About 2,000 people had to be evacuated, and it’s called a “serious and worrying” event.
In total, residents of five neighboring towns and one nursing home left.
By the way, it’s not the first time Land Life workers have started a wildfire. Just last month, on June 20, another employee of the company set fire to 49 acres of forest.
