OUR NASA released on Tuesday, August 2, another amazing image recorded James Webb Space Telescope (JWST). New photo JWST shows the galaxy in great detail wheel (cart wheel, in direct translation), a formation with a peculiar structure, having an outer ring and sleeves of spiral galaxies.

The James Webb Telescope has published an image of the oldest star…
But in order to see it, you need to zoom in a lot.
Cartwheel Galaxy – Forged in Chaos
Galaxies can be of four types: elliptical, spiral, lenticular, and irregular. The “cart wheel” galaxy fits the latter definition. It has two rings, which refers it to the type of irregular ring galaxies, as well as arms connecting the outer ring with the inner – these “weak” arms are characteristic of lenticular galaxies. Its name comes from its appearance, which resembles a wheel with rims.
Discovered in 1941, the answer to the question of how it took such a form was that it took some time to discover it. OUR galaxy wagon wheel, which was once a spiral like our Milky Way, collided 200-300 million years ago with a smaller galaxy orbiting it. The collision “hit the target”, right between the nuclei, and created a huge gravitational shock wave that compresses the gases and gives it the shape we see today. Nonetheless galaxy wagon wheel it slowly restores the shape of a spiral galaxy. See image taken James Webbfollowed by capture Hubble.
James Webb: years from production to release
project James Webb telescope was developed National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in collaboration with European and Canadian space agencies. It was originally supposed to be launched in 2007. But some problems delayed the launch of the model, one of them was the high cost of production of the James Webb telescope, which was increasing more and more and back in 2005 made Engineers rethink the original design.

In 2016, the telescope was declared ready, but its project was again put on hold due to construction difficulties and remained so until 2019, when it was finally assembled. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there have been more delays until NASA finally scheduled for release on December 18, 2021.

With it, researchers will be able to observe even more things from space, being able to see some of the oldest galaxies in the universe and other celestial bodies such as black holes. Its operation began on July 12, 2022.
