Two newly discovered planetsGJ 1002It is in the system of the ‘red dwarf star’. The planets, named “GJ 1002 b” and GJ 1002 c,” scientists say have similar masses to Earth and are a habitable distance from the star.
The two planets are in the Very Large Telescope of the European Southern Observatory.ESPRESSO‘named spectrograph and Calar Alto Observatory’CARMENESwas discovered through data from the spectrograph. The data was collected between 2017 and 2021. The data from a total of 139 spectroscopic observations enabled the discovery of the two planets.
Scientists have yet to share whether any of the planets have water or life. However, the data obtained so far green check mark all characters shared.
