In the Ivano-Frankivsk region, archaeologists found the remains of a primitive animal on the territory of the national reserve “Davnii Halych”. This was reported by Volodymyr Oliynyk, the manager of the reserve.
To determine the type of animal, archaeologists will turn to experts and conduct a carbon analysis. However, it can be said with certainty that the bones found do not belong to a domestic animal.
The reserve’s manager assumes it could be a mammoth, but the information needs to be verified by relevant experts. The large bone is very fragile, so when it was removed it broke into two pieces.
