Confirmed: Twitter has a new CEO, Linda Yaccarino

Ever since Elon Musk acquired Twitter and became the CEO of the company, circumstances have continued to occur that have shown a very clear direction, namely a billionaire was far from the best choice to run the company. And mind you, it’s not just personal appreciation, as made abundantly clear in a poll created by Musk himself on Twitter that resulted in his resignation from the post, the appointment of another person, an outcome he said he would accept, even though it’s true that with much more calm than one would expect.

The last thing we knew, he was planning to make said change at the end of this year, put out the constant fire that Twitter has become because it is in your hands. However, more and more fronts are putting pressure on the owner to stop being the CEO of the company at the same time, a move that makes a lot of sense for a number of reasons.

While it’s true that Twitter is no longer accountable to shareholders, other parties are directly involved in monetizing the platform. that they are sensitive to Musk’s policies, such as users of the social network as well as advertisers who use it to implement their campaigns. And if one or both parties react negatively to such measures, revenues will drop, which is exactly what Musk is trying to avoid, if only to recoup at least some of the huge investment that the Twitter purchase required.

So it seems that he has finally yielded to reason, albeit partially and according to what he himself communicated message on his account hired Linda Yaccarino as Twitter’s new CEO, which gives the leaks that occurred yesterday. From what we can read in the said publication, the two will share the management of Twitter in their respective roles, with Yaccarino taking over commercial operations and Musk focusing on product design and new technologies, a distribution that seems to be, at least first of all, . quite right.

Jaccarino resigned to take over Twitter’s executive leadership, his position Chief Advertising Officer at NBCUniversal Media, a company she has been a part of for more than eleven and a half years after being vice president of Turner, also in a role directly related to marketing and advertising. This prompts us to think about a normalization that could have a positive impact on social network accounts, although of course it is necessary for Musk to slow down a bit.
