Less than a week before the coronation, Buckingham Palace shared a new official portrait on the day of the coronation. King Charles III and with my two heirs to the throne, Prince William and Prince George.
The picture, taken inside the palace, shows the 74-year-old king seated in a regal red chair, flanked by the Prince of Wales and his nine-year-old grandson George.
Carlos III wears a purple velvet tunic and ermine cape with black, white, and gold trim.

In another portrait, King Charles III and Queen Camilla pose with their fiancé and bridesmaids in the throne room at Buckingham Palace.

Last weekend, Prince William, heir to the British crown, addressed a message to his father during a coronation concert:
Dad, we are so proud of you.
“My father’s first words when he entered Westminster Abbey on Saturday 6 May (at the coronation) was a promise to serve, a promise to continue to serve. Because for over 50 years, in every corner of the UK, the Commonwealth and the world, he has been dedicated to serving others,” said William.
