WhatsApp doesn’t look the same if you’re using it on an Android cell phone or an iPhone. On Android, the app prefers the tabs at the top, while on the iPhone the app has bottom navigation bar. This style is about to reach Android as well.
whatsapp for android it will adopt the style it has on iOSpresents one of the biggest design changes the app has made to Android in its history. With the step change, the locations of archived chats and last locked chats will be rearranged.
If you wanted to switch between viewing your WhatsApp chats and statuses, until now on Android you had to go to the top of the app. Soon, you will have to do the same at the bottom. Last month we found out that WhatsApp has would adopt the design of the iPhone in the Android version, with bottom button panel. Now, this design is slowly starting to come into play for some users in the latest beta versions.
This change, which we are currently testing, whatsapp tabs disappear Overhead. Instead, we have four buttons in the bottom navigation bar: Chats, Communities, Statuses, and Calls. What was above is now below.
This is not only a change of location, but also a change of behavior. with this design we can’t slide sideways anymore to switch between different sections that some users will definitely miss. In contrast, the top of the app has a slightly cleaner design, as the “head” of the app is much lighter.
That’s not the only change we’ll notice, as other elements have shifted along the way. For example, archive folder is shown at the bottomthis makes some sense because in theory they are trivial conversations and so far they have been shown in a privileged position.
What we will see at the top is the folder blocked chats, as long as we have already blocked a chat. Something curious about this folder is that it doesn’t appear as standard, but we have to scroll down to show it (as in Telegram, all that being said). All these innovations with the new design are still being tested in WhatsApp betas and may change before they become official.
