The American company Aerovironment has started the production of a new type of unmanned aerial vehicle for Ukraine. This is reported in the Voice of America story. The latest tactical UAV “Jump 20” is getting ready for shipment. Wahid Nawabi, CEO of Aerovironment, told reporters:We are preparing to send them as soon as the government is ready.“As Militarny reports, the “Jump 20” won the selection made by the US Army as part of the Future Tactical Unmanned Aerial Vehicle System (FTUAS) program. This drone will replace the RQ-7B “Shadow”.

“Jump 20” is a vertical take-off and landing device according to the scheme with four additional electric motors with horizontally located lifting propellers on two additional beams. The device itself is made according to the aircraft scheme with a screw-in 190 cm cubic nose piston engine. “JUMP 20” UAV has a maximum take-off weight of 97.5 kg, a payload of 13.6 kg, a length of 2.9 m and a wingspan of 5.7 m.

At which the flight time is more than 14 hours, the radius of action in control conditions from the ground station is up to 185 km, the ceiling is more than 5100 m, the device is equipped with a payload compartment and a standard. ARCAM-45V electronic-optical station.

In addition, additionally installed optical-electronic stations WESCAM MX-8, Trillium HD80 or TASE 40 LRS. It has secure high-definition data transmission equipment.
