ChatGPT’s paying users get a significant upgrade in user experience with the popular chatbot. OpenAI provides the program with a browser option and more than 70 plugins. This way the information ChatGPT works with is much more relevant and accurate.

Necessary update

Like most forms of artificial intelligence, ChatGPT trained with online information, but the program was released last year and this training information is only valid until 2021. In a world that is changing at an accelerating rate, this means that the information the bot leaves, now available are somewhat obsolete. You can see that in the suggested answers.

In addition, there is growing competition from Google Bard, a tool that can already browse and therefore provides more relevant information. However, Bard is not available in the EU.

test phase

The new features are still in the beta testing phase. Currently they are only available for ChatGPT Plus subscribers. They can enable the features in their user settings under the Beta Features option. This premium version costs $20 per month and gives users access to a more up-to-date version of ChatGPT.

With these plug-ins, the system can search the Internet for the necessary information. This can be used, for example, for current weather updates, to find specific products in web shops or to check sports results.
