Of course, both cameras integrate seamlessly into the Synology Surveillance Station video management system.

Synology announces two weatherproof surveillance cameras: a wall-mount bullet camera (Synology BC500) and a ceiling-mount tower camera (Synology TC500).

Both cameras have a 5-megapixel sensor that records with a resolution of 2,880 x 1,620 pixels at 30 frames per second (fps). Both the BC500 and TC 500 feature a 110-degree horizontal viewing angle for wide coverage.

The cameras are IP67 certified, dustproof and waterproof and offer night vision up to 30 meters. Thanks to HDR, the Synology cameras are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. The manufacturer targets situations such as surveillance of corridors and halls, but also large open spaces such as warehouses and parking lots, as well as various environments such as museums.

Synology BC500 and TC500 are equipped with AI functions that provide users with notifications so they can respond to incidents faster. Features like people and vehicle detection, intrusion detection, and instant search help them better identify potential threats, quickly investigate specific areas, and find and retrieve relevant video footage.

Of course, both cameras are designed for seamless integration with Surveillance Station. All camera configurations and network settings are managed directly in the Synology NAS hosted environment. Important detail: Synology cameras do not require the purchase or activation of Surveillance Station device licenses.

The Synology BC500 is available today in the Benelux. The TC500 is expected to be available from June 2023. A suggested retail price has not yet been announced.
