The Airbus VSR700 is a lightweight military tactical unmanned aerial vehicle capable of carrying multiple payloads with much lower operating costs compared to a helicopter.

At sea, the ship’s ability to observe the environment is limited by the height of the ship’s sensors and the curvature of the Earth. The Airbus VSR700 is designed to be an integral asset that expands the horizon of the ship, capable of detecting contacts or observing for a long time when necessary, using sensors not inferior to those mounted on naval helicopters.

In the Intelligence, Surveillance, Targeting and Reconnaissance (ISTAR) role, the VSR700 complements the ship by increasing range and freeing helicopters for basic missions.

Using high-performance long-range sensors, the VSR700 can perform radar and electro-optical identification, providing severe deterrence with a low-noise signature and a high degree of persistence.

Working in the electronic warfare environment, the unmanned VSR700 will ensure the safety of maritime personnel in dangerous encounters by ensuring the correct target selection with its high-performance on-board sensors.

In maritime security missions, the ability to scan a large sea area, monitor activity within, identify people of interest, and maintain confidentiality is critical. Naval forces operate independently and are often far from coastal support. They must have basic capabilities built into the ship, eliminating the need to rely on aircraft, drones or other vehicles on the shore.

The VSR700 will greatly benefit ships in tasks such as countering terrorism, fighting pollution, fighting smuggling, protecting fisheries, monitoring and detecting refugees or illegal immigrants, coast guards and more. The VSR700 will be equipped with high-performance long-range sensors that will ensure it remains undetected while tracking events and provide high-quality data to authorities.

The VSR700 unmanned helicopter will be able to carry a variety of weapons, including air-to-surface missiles and torpedoes, to destroy enemy ships and submarines. The VSR700 will be equipped with two turboprop engines and will have a top speed of 450 km/h and a flight range of over 3,500 kilometers. As the engineers assure, their device will be able to successfully conduct military operations in all weather conditions.
