Solid design and Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 under the hood
HTC’s comeback has been talked about lately., but really the ‘HTC’ brand never left like this. Last year we had the HTC Deside 22 Pro with the metaverse as a hook, and that’s something that is repeated with the HTC U23 Pro as the company has virtual reality glasses and wants to take advantage of the “ecosystem”.
However, if all that doesn’t matter to you, we’ve found the VIVERSE to be a pretty conventional mobile beyond reach. We have a design that sounds familiar to us. and in recent months we have seen a few smartphones with rounded edges to make it easier to hold and a camera module with four sensors.
The main one is 108 megapixel f / 1.7 with optical stabilization.It is accompanied by an 8-megapixel f/2.4 wide-angle, 5-megapixel f/2.2 macro and 2-megapixel f/2.4 depth camera. On the front, we see a 32 Mpx f/2.45 camera.
This front has a 6.7-inch display with a FullHD+ resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels. The panel is OLED with a frequency of 120 Hz and not because it makes great use of both the chin and the top edge, but it has p.Gorilla Glass Victus protection. Something not usually seen in this price range, and we also find IP67 certification.
Inside we find the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, a mid-range SoC that already has a successor (the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 we’ve seen on mobiles like the POCO F5) but continues to perform well every day. on a day-to-day basis and In fact, what recent mobiles like the Xiaomi 13 Lite have had.
The processor is accompanied by 12 GB of RAM. and 256GB of expandable storage via microSD. The battery is 4,600 mAh with 30 W cable charging, 15W wireless charging and 5W reverse wireless charging.
Versions, price and launch HTC U23 Pro
Considering the features, let’s go with the price. As we can see on the Spanish HTC page, the HTC U23 Pro will sell for 554 euros and as we saw in the case of the Huawei Nova 11i, the strategy is to make a different launch for each color.. Thus, the HTC U23 Pro in ‘Coffee Black’ will be released on June 5, and ‘Snow White’ on June 18.
