Elon Musk once again created a stir in the Twitter world. After taking charge of Twitter, Musk wasted no time promoting a new subscription service called Twitter Blue, which offers a number of exclusive benefits to its users. In his latest tweet, Musk announced an exciting feature exclusive to Twitter Blue followers only: the ability to upload videos up to 8GB in size and 2 hours in length.

This feature is currently limited to the Twitter website and iOS app.

This feature is currently limited to the Twitter app for iOS and twitter.com on the web. However, Android users need not worry because they can continue to enjoy the privilege of downloading videos for up to 10 minutes. This development opens up new opportunities for creators and users who want to share longer videos and engage with their followers in more engaging ways.

For Twitter Blue subscribers who want to share a longer video, the process is simple. They just have to go to the compose window on twitter.com, select a video file from their device and click the “Tweet” button to download it and share it with the world. More importantly, there is no limit to the number of videos that can be uploaded, even if they have a maximum length.

In contrast, regular Twitter users will be limited to uploading videos of up to 140 seconds, whether they’re using the mobile app or accessing Twitter on the web.

This move by Elon Musk and Twitter represents a desire to improve interaction with users and provide additional value to their loyal subscribers. With the ability to upload longer videos, creators can now more fully showcase their creativity and ideas and develop deeper connections and conversations within the Twitter community. This could be Elon Musk’s last big move as he steps down as CEO.

It can also potentially lead to a host of problems and disadvantages. First, the increased file size and length can put a strain on Twitter’s servers and infrastructure, resulting in slower load times and potential disruptions to the overall performance of the platform. Worst of all, having such long videos can lead to low-quality or irrelevant content streaming, overloading users’ streams and ruining the overall user experience.

Additionally, the ability to upload longer videos can increase the likelihood of copyright infringement and distribution of objectionable or harmful content. Ensuring proper content moderation and control will be critical to prevent abuse of this feature and to ensure a safe and engaging environment for all Twitter users.
