On the eve of the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), Apple surprised users with a new set of major operating system updates. The tech giant has recently released iOS 16.5, iPadOS 16.5 and macOS 13.4, each of which includes exciting features for sports fans. All three updates offer a dedicated Apple News section dedicated specifically to sports, allowing users to follow ratings, scores and exciting stories without the hassle of browsing irrelevant articles.
To further enhance the sports viewing experience, Apple TV 4K users can now enjoy Multiview in the TV app. This innovative add-on allows users to stream up to four sports events simultaneously. However, it is not known whether third-party services will be supported in this feature.
While these new features are remarkable, other improvements are also noteworthy. iOS 16.5 and watchOS 9.5 create inclusiveness with the addition of Pride-themed wallpapers and watch faces. These vibrant customization options highlight diversity and allow users to express their support for the LGBTQ+ community. Additionally, the update includes various bug fixes, fixes for issues like CarPlay and Spotlight on iOS, and syncing Screen Time across multiple platforms.
Rumor has it that Apple’s OS update isn’t over yet. Sources state that iOS 16.6 is currently undergoing private testing and may even offer a public beta in the near future. With Apple phasing out its existing software, it’s clear that the company is set to release major updates this fall.
With these latest updates, Apple’s operating system continues to appeal to different interests of its users. Recently, the company has released numerous accessibility-focused updates for the operating system. Apple demonstrates its commitment to a seamless and personalized user experience by offering dedicated sports sections, enhancing the sports streaming experience, and offering inclusivity through Pride-themed options. While users look forward to the upcoming launches, Apple’s commitment to multiple updates remains unshakable.
