Startup Q-Pixel introduced the world’s first full-color microLED display with ultra-high resolution. The pixel density on the screen exceeds the record 5000 pixels per inch. For comparison, modern smartphones can reach around 650 pixels per inch in some cases.
Using patented polychromatic microLED technology, the Q-Pixel achieved a world-record full-color LED display with a world-record pixel density of 5,000 pixels per inch, surpassing the current world record of 2,300 pixels, according to a press release. That is, Q-Pixel managed not only to set a new record, but also to increase the PPI indicator by more than twice.
Of course, such incredible pixel density is not needed everywhere, especially in bulk consumer solutions.
While the company does not say when its products will appear on any device, it states that it is currently working to reduce the cost of screens made with its own technology.
