The China National Space Administration (CNSA) said the satellites were launched at 4 pm Beijing time using a CZ-2C launch vehicle (“Changzhen-2C”) from Jiuquan Cosmodrome in northwest China.
“Aomen Science-1” is a research satellite launched into equatorial orbit to monitor the geomagnetic field and space environment. This is the first space science satellite program jointly developed by the interior of the country and the Macao SAR.
This flight was the 474th flight of the Changzheng series launch vehicles. At the same time, a scientific and experimental satellite called “Lojia-2” was sent into space.
