HPE simplifies its Ezmeral data analytics portfolio with a nicer dashboard and expands the number of open source tools.
With Ezmeral, HPE aims to solve the problem of data silos by providing a complete data and analytics platform that is independent of the underlying structure. The latest update extends support for more files, objects, tables and streams to use as many data sources as possible.
For the first time, Ezmeral is also available as a SaaS solution with automated policy management to help users optimize their workloads.
In addition, HPE is clearly opening the door to open source. For example, the analytics software suite supports Apache Airflow, Apache Spark, Apache Superset, Presto SQL, and Ray. In terms of training, it covers Feast, Kubeflow ML on Kubernetes, MLFlow and new connectors for Snowflake Data Cloud, MySQL, Databricks DeltaLake, Teradata and Oracle.
According to HPE, the hybrid approach is important to adopting Ezmeral across edge, colocation, on-premises and public cloud. By introducing open source, HPE wants to prevent a so-called “fork” in which the open source community goes its own way.
Ezmeral is available within GreenLake as a SaaS solution, but you can also deploy the platform on-premises, with or without an air gap.
Just last month, HPE GreenLake received new services for block and file storage and backup, and now you’ll find Aruba Networking Central as part of the package.
