The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset will be Nuvia’s first processor and will arrive in 2025. [RUMOR]

While the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is considered to be one of the best processors ever developed for Android phones, some Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 leaks have already begun to circulate in recent weeks. However, the latest information suggests the first news regarding the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.

Even if the launch is far from being a reality, Digital Chat Station has revealed the first news about the processor. As reported this week, it will possibly receive model number SM87505 and will feature Qualcomm’s own Nuvia processor technology.

If these rumors are confirmed within the next few months, Snapdragon Gen 4 will be the first mobile processor to use Nuvia technology. The leaks go even further and even suggest a date when it will become available to users.

This is because the information provided by Digital Chat Station shows that the announcement should take place at the end of 2024 if there are no changes to the schedule. In addition, it will be used on mobile phones from next year, in 2025.

Leaks show Qualcomm is choosing Samsung

This is just one of the recently published leaks regarding the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. Last week, insider Tech_Reve revealed that Samsung will be responsible for the production of processor chips.

This change came at a time when Qualcomm stopped using Samsung in chipset manufacturing due to a number of thermal issues associated with the 4nm process used in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Thus, TSMC was in charge of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

If this rumor is also confirmed, Samsung will bear a lot of responsibility due to the technological addition that the processors will have when using the Nuvia processor. In any case, it will be a few more months before Qualcomm releases all the details about the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.
