The tragic accident happened last Thursday.
According to the Rocklin Police Department, the incident took place on Stanford Ranch Road and Park Drive in California at 8:15 pm on May 18.
“The man was trying to help the ducklings standing at the crossroads. At an intersection, a teenage driver was driving east on Stanford Ranch Boulevard and hit him.”

The man who helped the ducklings has been identified as Casey Rivera, 41
According to local media, subject was traveling through the area accompanied by their children, ages 11 and 6.when they saw a family of ducks and stopped to help them.
No one was detained, although the culprit of the accident remained at the scene.
