New drone leaks DJI Air 3 suggest that the new model may be released in the coming weeks or months. The @Quadro_news Twitter profile has posted possible configurations and even some photos of the drone during its alleged testing alongside the recently released Inspire 3. According to the profile, the Air 3 could launch in June or July. Vale recalls that the Air 2S was launched in April 2021.
DJI Air 3 drone could bring a dual camera kit
It’s important to make it clear that while this is all hearsay, not even the photos are up to par to take into account other previous leaks, especially as the launch approaches. However, Quadro_news is already reviewing technical details about the drone, including that the Air 3 could bring a dual-camera setup, a main camera and a body camera.
Estimated Specifications for the DJI Air 3 Drone:
- Set of two cameras, main with 1 CMOS sensor and TV cameras with 1/1.3 CMOS sensor and 3x zoom or 1/2 CMOS and 7x zoom.
- About 30 minutes flight
- The design is similar to the Mini 3 Pro, but larger.
- Obstacle sensors front, bottom and rear.
- Rear-mounted batteries, same as Mavic 3 and Mini SE/2/3 models.
- Average Price RMB 7500 = USD 999 +/-
The Air line usually includes good drones, positioned between the Mini line and the Mavic 3 line in several aspects, especially in terms of size and price. Currently, the Mini 3 Pro was very close to the Air 2S in terms of technology and even price.
Although it loses to the Mini 3 Pro in terms of portability, the larger Air 2S flies better in strong winds. The final camera quality is also slightly better on the Air 2S drone, despite the fact that the camera is not as versatile. The new model will certainly increase that distance for the Mini 3 Pro, but still fall short of the Mavic 3 Classic and its 4/3-inch Hasselblad camera.
