A Microsoft announced on Tuesday its newest update for Windows 11, known by the code name “Moment 3”. This update will be officially available from May 24 as an additional update and from June 13 it will be offered to all Windows 11 users. This update brings some improvements to the taskbar and other new features.

According to Microsoft, one of the new features introduced in this new Windows 11 update is new VPN usage indicator on network icon on the taskbar. Users will be able to enable this indicator through the section Quick Actions:

Windows 11 tablet and laptop users will be able to use a new option that automatically adjusts the screen brightness according to the displayed contentwhich should help reduce battery usage a bit:

Another new feature introduced in this update allows users to customize the number of Microsoft Edge browser tabs that appear when the user presses Alt + Tab – 3 Recent Tabs, 5 Recent Tabs, and 20 Recent Tabs. You can also choose not to display browser tabs:

Accessibility feature live subtitles updated and now supports more than 10 languagesincluding Brazilian Portuguese. For those who don’t know, this feature automatically generates subtitles in the selected language for any content with audio. You can quickly turn it on in the Quick Actions area or in the Settings app:

Another new feature that has already been tested by Windows Insiders is that the default behavior of the Print Screen key can now be changed so that the Snipping Tool opens automatically when the key is pressed:

Users signed in to Windows 11 with a Microsoft account and using OneDrive will now see more details about their storage usage in the Accounts page of the Settings app, which also includes the space taken up by email attachments:

In addition to the news mentioned above, Microsoft has confirmed support for Bluetooth low energy audio through partnerships with Samsung and Intel. That being said, users of Bluetooth headphones like the Galaxy Buds2 Pro will have good sound quality without consuming much power.
As mentioned at the beginning of the post, a new Windows 11 update will be available May 24 as an optional update through Windows Update. Starting June 13, it will be offered to all Windows 11 users as part of the company’s monthly update cycle, known as Patch Tuesday.
