A Microsoft AI has been dominating AI headlines, from the new version of Bing and most recently Windows Copilot to the introduction of AI features in the Microsoft Store. Not wanting to be left behind Google announced on Tuesday (23) a new feature that will reach google bard.
On its Experiment Updates page – a page dedicated to the list of changes to Google Bard – Google said that Bard has received a new feature. The AI chatbot can now provide screenshots along with responses where appropriate.
“From the English answers, Bard can now load images from Google search, so you can get useful answers with visuals. You can also order images directly from the bard. It will show the source of each image“, the message says.
For example, a user might send a request something like this: “What are the must-see attractions in New Orleans?The bard will be able to provide a text response and an image of the locations.

The tech giant is positioning itself in the market by showcasing AI applications for its free online tools.

In addition, users will be able to include images in their requests. For example, you can upload a photo of two dogs and ask Bard to write a funny caption about them. Using Google Lens, Bard will be able to analyze the image, identify dog breeds, and respond with some captions.
As to why they implemented this feature, Google says it’s because the preview helps with contextualization. “Images can help convey your ideas more effectively. They can bring concepts to life, make recommendations more compelling, and improve responses when you ask for visual information.“, he explained.
During the I/O event, Google Bard received a number of updates, including a dark theme, support for Korean and Japanese, export to Gmail/Docs, and availability in English in over 180 countries.
