The MPF note states that an email has been sent to Google asking for specific information about the game. The app in question, developed by MagnusGames, allowed the user to take on the role of a slave owner, being able to seek profit and avoid escapes and rebellions, or fight for freedom and seek the abolition of the death penalty.

Apart from the case in Rio Grande do Sul, in Sao Paulo Special Unit to Combat Racial Crimes and Intolerance (hecradi), from the public prosecutor’s office, set up News of Fact to investigate the allegation. In addition, the prosecutor’s office requests access to the email registered by the person responsible for the game and information about the authorization policy for publishing applications available on Google Play.

The availability of a game that simulates slavery and is accompanied by racist comments caused outrage and concern among the authorities and society as a whole. The current investigation is aimed at investigating possible violations and liability, as well as assessing the need for legal and regulatory measures to prevent the spread of offensive and racist content through applications.

Google is deleting the app

Google removed the Bondage Simulator app last Wednesday afternoon. In addition, he issued a statement that he does not accept this type of content.
