This was stated by State Department spokesperson Ned Price, according to Ukrinform, citing Reuters.
Price said the FBI estimated that more than a thousand Conti victims paid the extortionists a combined total of more than $150 million.
The prize is $10 million to identify or disclose the whereabouts of the group’s leaders, as well as $5 million for data that would lead to the arrest of anyone conspiring with Conti.
Last year, the FBI said the group was responsible for attacks on 16 medical and emergency response networks.
Price said Conti was accused of influencing the country’s foreign trade by attacking Costa Rica’s tax and customs servers in April.
In February, the Conti group began attacking “enemies of the Kremlin” if they responded to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
