YouTube is dropping the Stories format

0

Starting June 26, video hosting YouTube is abandoning the Stories format, which are temporary short videos that help channels interact with their viewers.

This is stated in the YouTube team’s announcement, reports Ukrinform.

“From June 26, the new YouTube Stories creation feature will no longer be available. Stories previously published today expire 7 days after publication.”

The company offers to use regular streams and YouTube Shorts as an alternative to Stories. The video hosting company claims that Shorts gets more views and likes, and channel owners gain more followers from Stories.

“With new features announced throughout the year for short videos and community posts, we’re committed to investing in new and innovative tools to help you grow your audience on YouTube,” the statement said.

As reported by Ukrinform, social network TikTok is testing a chatbot with artificial intelligence “Tako” that can talk to users about short videos and help them find content.
